I know Gods timing is hard to understand or even why he allows things when we ask for protection. I have seen how he has protected me from some things, but allows others. God does promise us that all things will work together FOR THE GOOD of those who love him. I find it hard to trust that at times when I go through things. We need to hang on to those promises he gave us, even though we don’t understand why he would allow things to happen. I have realized that during my difficult times, I find myself starting to become closer to God and see his protection from evil that comes against me in life’s battle field.
Jeremiah 29:11 says I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord; plans to prosper you and not to harm you, but to give you hope and a future. I hope you find comfort in the fact that God has a plan. we may not, but he does. When things seem hopeless, remember someone else is fighting for you and that God thinks your worth the fight. I know you may not understand what God is doing in your life, or even be possibly angry with him for what he has allowed. I feel times like that are a test with your relationship with God. How far will you be willing to go for him?
Know that in James it says that the testing of your faith develops perseverance and that perseverance must finish its work so that you will be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Also, that once you have stood the test, you will receive the crown of life that God has promised.
I want to encourage you to hold on to Gods promises and that you are worth the fight. A person told me a while ago, “Faith isn’t how we feel. Its who were holding on to. Hang on like a cat on the window screen- just dig in your claws to those promises and don’t turn loose.”
